The Holy Quran 20:109 — Surah Taha

Arabic text

يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا تَنفَعُ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَرَضِىَ لَهُۥ قَوْلًا

Translation

On that day intercession will benefit only those whom Ar Rahmaan permits and those with whose speech He is well pleased. (Only those whom Allaah allows to intercede will be able to do so and they will be allowed to intercede only for those on whose behalf Allaah allows them to intercede.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

في ذلك اليوم لا تنفع الشفاعة أحدًا من الخلق، إلا إذا أذن الرحمن للشافع، ورضي عن المشفوع له، ولا يكون ذلك إلا للمؤمن المخلص.
