The Holy Quran 12:96 — Surah Yusuf

Arabic text

فَلَمَّآ أَن جَآءَ ٱلْبَشِيرُ أَلْقَىٰهُ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِۦ فَٱرْتَدَّ بَصِيرًا ۖ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

Translation

(However,) When the carrier of good news arrived and placed the shirt on his face, he regained his sight. (To remind them of what he had always been telling them) He said, “Did I not tell you that I have such knowledge from Allaah that you do not know?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فلما أن جاء من يُبشِّر يعقوب بأن يوسف حيٌّ، وطرح قميص يوسف على وجهه فعاد يعقوب مبصرًا، وعمَّه السرور فقال لمن عنده: ألمْ أخبركم أني أعلم من الله ما لا تعلمونه من فضل الله ورحمته وكرمه؟
