The Holy Quran 12:97 — Surah Yusuf

Arabic text

قَالُوا۟ يَـٰٓأَبَانَا ٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا خَـٰطِـِٔينَ

Translation

They (the brothers) said, "O our father! Seek forgiveness (from Allaah on our behalf) for our sins. Indeed we were wrongdoers."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال بنوه: يا أبانا سل لنا ربك أن يعفو عنا ويستر علينا ذنوبنا، إنا كنا خاطئين فيما فعلناه بيوسف وشقيقه.
