The Holy Quran 11:76 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَـٰذَآ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ قَدْ جَآءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَإِنَّهُمْ ءَاتِيهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُودٍ

Translation

(However, when the debate grew too long, the angels said) "O Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام refrain (turned away) from it (stop debating). Without doubt the command of your Rabb has come (and it shall take place). There shall surely come to them a punishment that cannot be turned away." (Of course, the Mu'mineen and Loot عليه الصلاة والسلام will be saved.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قالت رسل الله: يا إبراهيم أعرض عن هذا الجدال في أمر قوم لوط والتماس الرحمة لهم; فإنه قد حق عليهم العذاب، وجاء أمر ربك الذي قدَّره عليهم بهلاكهم، وإنهم نازل بهم عذاب من الله غير مصروف عنهم ولا مدفوع.
