The Holy Quran 11:34 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

وَلَا يَنفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِىٓ إِنْ أَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَنصَحَ لَكُمْ إِن كَانَ ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يُغْوِيَكُمْ ۚ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

Translation

"My advice to you shall not benefit you if I intend to advise you while Allaah intends to send you astray (allows you to stray). He is your Rabb (who controls your affairs) and to Him shall you be returned (for reckoning after death)." (The Kuffaar of Makkah also made similar objections and therefore received the same replies.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولا ينفعكم نصحي واجتهادي في دعوتكم للإيمان، إن كان الله يريد أن يضلَّكم ويهلككم، هو سبحانه مالككم، وإليه تُرجَعون في الآخرة للحساب والجزاء.
