The Holy Quran 10:107 — Surah Yunus

Arabic text

وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ ٱللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُۥٓ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ وَإِن يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَلَا رَآدَّ لِفَضْلِهِۦ ۚ يُصِيبُ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Translation

If Allaah afflicts you with (any) harm, none can remove it besides Him. (On the contrary,) If He intends (any) good for you, then none can prevent His grace (none can stop the good from reaching you). He bestows His grace on those of His bondsmen whom He pleases and He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful (in both worlds).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وإن يصبك الله -أيها الرسول- بشدة أو بلاء فلا كاشف لذلك إلا هو جلَّ وعلا وإن يُرِدْك برخاء أو نعمة لا يمنعه عنك أحد، يصيب الله عز وجل بالسراء والضراء من يشاء من عباده، وهو الغفور لذنوب مَن تاب، الرحيم بمن آمن به وأطاعه.
