Details of talaq, ‘idda and taking back (ruju‘)

Question

Question: Tell us regarding marriage: if a Muslim gives his wife talaq with an interval of a few seconds, the marriage becomes impermissible; how can he marry her again?

Answer

There is much detail concerning talaq and a renewed nikah after it. If talaq was given after the offer and acceptance (ijab and qabul) of the nikah but before seclusion and being together, whether one or two talaqs were given, the ruling is that a renewed nikah is permitted with the consent of both parties (halala is not required).
