Determining the Whereabouts of the Aqtab and Abdal

Question

In some books on tasawwuf, a particular calculation is given for determining the abode of the Aqtab and Abdal, by which it is claimed that a certain qutb resides in a certain direction at a certain time. Is this view correct or false?

Answer

As for the Abdal, some specification concerning them is found in the books of hadith; as for the rest, the geography of the whole world [in detail] is not within anyone’s knowledge.
