Great shaykh al-Islam and historian; student of Molla Lutfi and Khatibzade. Place, verbatim: «صَار مفتيا بِمَدِينَة قسطنطينية بعد وَفَاة الْمولى عَلَاء الدّين عَليّ الجمالي وَمَات وَهُوَ مفت بهَا» (shaqaiq-numaniyya, ch-0010) — he became mufti of Constantinople after the death of Zenbilli Ali and died in that post.
