Surah Al-Qari'ah (القارعة)

- 101:1
ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
The knocker. (hearts will quiver and clatter out of terror and perplexity on the Day of Qiyaamat)
- 101:2
مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
What is the knocker?
- 101:3
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
What shall inform you what the knocker is?
- 101:4
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ
(The knocker is) The day (of Qiyaamah) when (after emerging from their graves) people will become (out of fear) like scattered moths (running in confusion towards the Plain of Reckoning)...
- 101:5
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ
...And the mountains (which are found in a variety of colours) will (be tossed into the air and) become like coloured (flakes of) wool (as they fly about like flakes of wool tossed through the air).
- 101:6
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
As for him whose scales (weighing his actions) are weighty (with good deeds)...
- 101:7
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ
...he shall be (enjoying himself) in a life of happiness (with pleasure in Jannah).
