The Holy Quran 9:26 — Surah At-Tawbah

Arabic text

ثُمَّ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنزَلَ جُنُودًا لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَعَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

Translation

Allaah then caused His tranquillity (special peace) to descend on His Rasool ﷺ and on the Mu'mineen (and they all reorganised themselves around Rasulullaah ﷺ and defeated the enemy). (In addition to this,) Allaah (also) sent an army (of angels) that you could not see and punished those who did not have Imaan (when they were killed and taken prisoner). Such is the punishment of the Kaafiroon (rejecters).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ثم أنزل الله الطمأنينة على رسوله وعلى المؤمنين فثبتوا، وأمدَّهم بجنود من الملائكة لم يروها، فنصرهم على عدوهم، وعذَّب الذين كفروا. وتلك عقوبة الله للصادِّين عن دينه، المكذِّبين لرسوله.
