The Holy Quran 9:121 — Surah At-Tawbah

Arabic text

وَلَا يُنفِقُونَ نَفَقَةً صَغِيرَةً وَلَا كَبِيرَةً وَلَا يَقْطَعُونَ وَادِيًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ لِيَجْزِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Translation

Every small and large amount they spend in Allaah's way (for Allaah's pleasure while in Jihaad) and every valley that they cross (while marching in Jihaad) will be recorded for them so that Allaah rewards them (with rewards that are) better than that (action) which they do.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولا ينفقون نفقة صغيرة ولا كبيرة في سبيل الله، ولا يقطعون واديًا في سيرهم مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في جهاده، إلا كُتِب لهم أجر عملهم; ليجزيهم الله أحسن ما يُجْزَون به على أعمالهم الصالحة.
