The Holy Quran 8:14 — Surah Al-Anfal

Arabic text

ذَٰلِكُمْ فَذُوقُوهُ وَأَنَّ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ

Translation

This (defeat and death are the punishment, O Kuffaar) so taste it (in this world already) ! (In addition to this) The Kaafiroon shall have (shall also suffer) the punishment of the Fire (of Jahannam in the Aakhirah).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ذلكم العذاب الذي عجَّلته لكم -أيها الكافرون المخالفون لأوامر الله ورسوله في الدنيا- فذوقوه في الحياة الدنيا، ولكم في الآخرة عذاب النار.
