The Holy Quran 7:63 — Surah Al-A'raf

Arabic text

أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَن جَآءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنكُمْ لِيُنذِرَكُمْ وَلِتَتَّقُوا۟ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

Translation

"Are you surprised (wandering) that a reminder (advice) from your Rabb should come to you through a man from among you, so that he may warn you (of Allaah's punishment for kufr), so that you may fear (His punishment) and so that mercy may be shown to you?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وهل أثار عجبكم أن أنزل الله تعالى إليكم ما يذكركم بما فيه الخير لكم، على لسان رجل منكم، تعرفون نسبه وصدقه; ليخوِّفكم بأس الله تعالى وعقابه، ولتتقوا سخطه بالإيمان به، ورجاء أن تظفروا برحمته وجزيل ثوابه؟
