The Holy Quran 7:53 — Surah Al-A'raf

Arabic text

هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا تَأْوِيلَهُۥ ۚ يَوْمَ يَأْتِى تَأْوِيلُهُۥ يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ نَسُوهُ مِن قَبْلُ قَدْ جَآءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ فَهَل لَّنَا مِن شُفَعَآءَ فَيَشْفَعُوا۟ لَنَآ أَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَيْرَ ٱلَّذِى كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ ۚ قَدْ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ

Translation

They are waiting only for its outcome (for the fulfilment of the warnings mentioned in the Qur'aan). The day when its outcome (the Day of Qiyaamah) will appear, those who previously forgot (those who did not accept Imaan) will say, "Surely the Rusul of our Rabb have brought the truth! Are there any intercessors who will intercede for us, or can we be returned (to the world) to perform (good) actions contrary to what (evil) we used to perform (so that we may accept Imaan instead of practising Shirk)?" They have destroyed their (own) souls and what (gods) they used to invent will be lost to them.

هل ينتظر الكفار إلا ما وُعِدوا به في القرآن من العقاب الذي يؤول إليه أمرهم؟ يوم يأتي ما يؤول إليه الأمر من الحساب والثواب والعقاب يوم القيامة يقول الكفار الذين تركوا القرآن، وكفروا به في الحياة الدنيا: قد تبيَّن لنا الآن أنَّ رسل ربنا قد جاؤوا بالحق، ونصحوا لنا، فهل لنا من أصدقاء وشفعاء، فيشفعوا لنا عند ربنا، أو نعاد إلى الدنيا مرة أخرى فنعمل فيها بما يرضي…
