The Holy Quran 7:185 — Surah Al-A'raf

Arabic text

أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا۟ فِى مَلَكُوتِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ ٱقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Translation

Have they not reflected upon the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever else Allaah has created (thereby realising that the Creator of it all must be the One and Only Ilaah)? And (have they not pondered about the fact) that perhaps their term (of life) is soon to expire (after which they will have to face Allaah)? What speech will they believe in after this (Qur'aan)? (If they cannot believe in the Qur'aan despite its miraculous nature, there is nothing else that they will believe in.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أو لم ينظر هؤلاء المكذبون بآيات الله في ملك الله العظيم وسلطانه القاهر في السموات والأرض، وما خلق الله -جلَّ ثناؤه- من شيء فيهما، فيتدبروا ذلك ويعتبروا به، وينظروا في آجالهم التي عسى أن تكون قَرُبَتْ فيهلكوا على كفرهم، ويصيروا إلى عذاب الله وأليم عقابه؟ فبأي تخويف وتحذير بعد تحذير القرآن يصدقون ويعملون؟
