The Holy Quran 7:150 — Surah Al-A'raf
Translation
When Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام returned to his people in anger (due to the polytheistic in scene) and grief (because of what they had done in his absence), he said, "Evil indeed is the way in which you people followed me after my departure! Do you seek to hurry the order of your Rabb (to punish you)?" (In his anger,) He (Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام) threw down the tablets (of the Torah) and seized his brother's (Haaroon عليه الصلاة والسلام's) head (hair and beard), pulling him towards him. Haaroon عليه الصلاة والسلام said, "O my mother's son! (a term used to arouse love and kindness) Verily the people regarded me to be weak (overpowered me) and nearly killed me. So let not the enemies laugh at me (by treating me in this manner) and do not count me among the wrongdoers (because I did not worship the calf with them)."
Tafsir (excerpt) —
