The Holy Quran 6:95 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ فَالِقُ ٱلْحَبِّ وَٱلنَّوَىٰ ۖ يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتِ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

Translation

Undoubtedly Allaah is the One Who splits the seed and the date stone (causing them to sprout). He extracts (brings forth) the living from the dead (such as a chicken from an egg or a Mu'min from a Kaafir) and the dead from the living (such as an egg from a hen or a Kaafir from a Mu'min). This is Allaah! So where are you wandering (going) astray?

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن الله تعالى يشق الحب، فيخرج منه الزرع، ويشق النوى، فيخرج منه الشجر، يخرج الحي من الميت كالإنسان والحيوان مثلا من النطفة، ويخرج الميت من الحي كالنطفة من الإنسان والحيوان، ذلكم الله أي: فاعل هذا هو الله وحده لا شريك له المستحق للعبادة، فكيف تُصْرَفون عن الحق إلى الباطل فتعبدون معه غيره؟
