The Holy Quran 6:159 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِى شَىْءٍ ۚ إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ

Translation

Indeed you (O Muhammad ﷺ) have nothing to do with those (Jews and Christians) who caused divisions (sects) in their religion (by accepting parts of it and rejecting parts) and have split into groups (denominations. Therefore, do not worry too much about them). Their matter rests with Allaah. Thereafter (in the Aakhirah) He will inform them of what (evil) they used to do (and punish them accordingly).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن الذين فرقوا دينهم بعد ما كانوا مجتمعين على توحيد الله والعمل بشرعه، فأصبحوا فرقا وأحزابا، إنك -أيها الرسول- بريء منهم، إنما حكمهم إلى الله تعالى، ثم يخبرهم بأعمالهم، فيجازي من تاب منهم وأحسن بإحسانه، ويعاقب المسيء بإساءته.
