The Holy Quran 6:128 — Surah Al-An'am

Arabic text

وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ قَدِ ٱسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ ۖ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ رَبَّنَا ٱسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَ ٱلنَّارُ مَثْوَىٰكُمْ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ

Translation

(Do not forget) The day when We shall gather them all (all men and Jinn and then say), "O assembly of Jinn! You certainly took a large group of humans (as your followers by misleading them)." Then their human friends will say, "O our Rabb, we derived benefit from each other and (ultimately) we reached the fixed term (death and Qiyaamah) that You had fixed for us." He (Allaah) shall (tell the angels to) say, "Your abode will be the Fire, where you (the polytheists) shall live forever, except those whom Allaah wills (that they should leave Jahannam after a while because of their Imaan. Such people will eventually enter Jannah). Certainly your Rabb is The Wise, The All Knowing."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واذكر -أيها الرسول- يوم يحشر الله تعالى الكفار وأولياءهم من شياطين الجن فيقول: يا معشر الجن قد أضللتم كثيرًا من الإنس، وقال أولياؤهم من كفار الإنس: ربنا قد انتفع بعضنا من بعض، وبلغنا الأجل الذي أجَّلْتَه لنا بانقضاء حياتن�� الدنيا، قال الله تعالى لهم: النار مثواكم، أي: مكان إقامتكم خالدين فيها، إلا مَن شاء الله عدم خلوده فيها من عصاة الموحدين.
