The Holy Quran 66:10 — Surah At-Tahrim

ضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱمْرَأَتَ نُوحٍ وَٱمْرَأَتَ لُوطٍ ۖ كَانَتَا تَحْتَ عَبْدَيْنِ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا صَـٰلِحَيْنِ فَخَانَتَاهُمَا فَلَمْ يُغْنِيَا عَنْهُمَا مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا وَقِيلَ ٱدْخُلَا ٱلنَّارَ مَعَ ٱلدَّٰخِلِينَ

Translation

For the (benefit of the) Kuffaar Allaah gives the example of the wife of Nooh عليه الصلاة والسلام and the wife of Loot عليه الصلاة والسلام. They were both in the marriage of (under the care of) two pious men of My bondsmen (servants) but they betrayed them (by failing to accept Imaan). So they (Nooh عليه الصلاة والسلام and Loot عليه الصلاة والسلام) were of no assistance to their wives against (the punishment of) Allaah (despite their closeness) and the two (women) will be told (in the Aakhirah), "Enter the Fire (of Jahannam) with those (Kuffaar who are) entering."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ضرب الله مثلا لحال الكفرة -في مخالطتهم المسلمين وقربهم منهم ومعاشرتهم لهم، وأن ذلك لا ينفعهم لكفرهم بالله- بحال زوجة نبي الله نوح، وزوجة نبي الله لوط: حيث كانتا في عصمة عبدَين من عبادنا صالحين، فوقعت منهما الخيانة لهما في الدين، فقد كانتا كافرتين، فلم يدفع هذان الرسولان عن زوجتيهما من عذاب الله شيئًا، وقيل للزوجتين: ادخلا النار مع الداخلين فيها.
