The Holy Quran 61:4 — Surah As-Saf

Arabic text

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقَـٰتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ صَفًّا كَأَنَّهُم بُنْيَـٰنٌ مَّرْصُوصٌ

Translation

Verily Allaah loves those (Mu'mineen) who fight (the enemies of Islaam) in His path (standing) in rows (in front of the enemy with steadfastness and unity) as if they are a solid building.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن الله يحب الذين يقاتلون في سبيله صفًا كأنهم بنيان متراص محكم لا ينفذ منه العدو. وفي الآية بيان فضل الجهاد والمجاهدين؛ لمحبة الله سبحانه لعباده المؤمنين إذا صفُّوا مواجهين لأعداء الله، يقاتلونهم في سبيله.
