The Holy Quran 5:92 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَٱحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

Translation

Obey Allaah and obey the Rasool ﷺ and beware (of sin even if you do not understand the evils of it)! If you turn away (from Allaah's obedience), then know that the responsibility of the Rasool ﷺ is only clear conveyance (of the message of Islaam. He is not expected to force people to accept Islaam).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وامتثلوا -أيها المسلمون- طاعة الله وطاعة رسوله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم في كل ما تفعلون وتتركون، واتقوا الله وراقبوه في ذلك، فإن أعرضتم عن الامتثال فعملتم ما نهيتم عنه، فاعلموا أنما على رسولنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم البلاغ المبين.
