The Holy Quran 5:15 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَيَعْفُوا۟ عَن كَثِيرٍ ۚ قَدْ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَـٰبٌ مُّبِينٌ

Translation

O People of the Book! Undoubtedly Our Rasool (Muhammad ﷺ) has come to you, exposing (explaining) to you much of the Book (Torah and Injeel) which you used to conceal and overlooking much (of what you concealed so that you are not made to feel too embarrassed). Without doubt there has come to you from Allaah a light (Muhammad ﷺ with the message of guidance) and a clear Book (the Qur'aan)...

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

يا أهل الكتاب من اليهود والنصارى، قد جاءكم رسولنا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم يبيِّن لكم كثيرًا مما كنتم تُخْفونه عن الناس مما في التوراة والإنجيل، ويترك بيان ما لا تقتضيه الحكمة. قد جاءكم من الله نور وكتاب مبين: وهو القرآن الكريم.
