The Holy Quran 5:110 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَـٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَتُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ

Translation

(Do not forget the Day of Qiyaamah) When Allaah will say, "O Isa عليه الصلاة والسلام the son of Maryam! Remember My favour to you and to your mother when I assisted you by means of the Ruhul Qudus and you spoke to the people while in the cradle (as a little baby) and in manhood (when you returned to the world before Qiyaamah). (Remember) When I taught you the Book (previous scriptures), wisdom, the Torah and the Injeel. (Remember also) When you would create the form of a bird from sand, blow into it and it would become a living bird by My order. And you would cure those born blind and the lepers by My order, and (when you would) raise the dead (alive from their graves) by My order. And (remember) when I restrained the Bani Israa'eel from (killing) you when you came to them with clear signs (miracles) and the Kaafiroon from them said, 'This (the miracles) is but obvious magic!'"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إذ قال الله يوم القيامة: يا عيسى بن مريم اذكر نعمتي عليك إذ خلقتك من غير أب، وعلى والدتك حيث اصطفيتها على نساء العالمين، وبرأتها مما نُسِب إليها، ومن هذه النعم على عيسى أنه قوَّاه وأعانه بجبريل عليه السلام، يكلم الناس وهو رضيع، ويدعوهم إلى الله وهو كبير بما أوحاه الله إليه من التوحيد، ومنها أن الله تعالى علَّمه الكتابة والخط بدون معلم، ووهبه قوة الفهم…
