The Holy Quran 5:109 — Surah Al-Ma'idah

Arabic text

۞ يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّـٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ

Translation

(Do not forget) The day (of Qiyaamah) when Allaah will gather the Rusul and ask, "What reply (response) did you receive (from the people when you called them to believe in Towheed)?" They will submit, "We have no knowledge (about the beliefs they concealed in their hearts and about what they did after we left them). Most surely only You are the Knower of the unseen."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واذكروا -أيها الناس- يوم القيامة يوم يجمع الله الرسل عليهم السلام، فيسألهم عن جواب أممهم لهم حينما دعوهم إلى التوحيد فيجيبون: لا علم لنا، فنحن لا نعلم ما في صدور الناس، ولا ما أحدثوا بعدنا. إنك أنت عليم بكل شيء مما خفي أو ظهر.
