The Holy Quran 4:55 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ ءَامَنَ بِهِۦ وَمِنْهُم مَّن صَدَّ عَنْهُ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِجَهَنَّمَ سَعِيرًا

Translation

Of them were those who believed in him (Muhammad ﷺ) and those who turned away from him. Jahannam is sufficient as a smouldering inferno (as a blazing fire for those who reject the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فمن هؤلاء الذين أوتوا حظًّا من العلم، مَن صدَّق برسالة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعمل بشرعه، ومنهم مَن أعرض ولم يستجب لدعوته، ومنع الناس من اتباعه. وحسبكم -أيها المكذبون- نار جهنم تسعَّر بكم.
