The Holy Quran 4:137 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا۟ ثُمَّ ءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا۟ ثُمَّ ٱزْدَادُوا۟ كُفْرًا لَّمْ يَكُنِ ٱللَّهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ وَلَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ سَبِيلًۢا

Translation

Verily those (Jews) who believe (in Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام) then disbelieve (by worshipping the calf), then believe (by returning to their former beliefs), then disbelieve (in Isa عليه الصلاة والسلام) and thereafter increase in disbelief (by rejecting the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ), it is not for Allaah to forgive them, nor to guide them to the (straight) path.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن الذين دخلوا في الإيمان، ثم رجعوا عنه إلى الكفر، ثم عادوا إلى الإيمان، ثم رجعوا إلى الكفر مرة أخرى، ثم أصرُّوا على كفرهم واستمروا عليه، لم يكن الله ليغفر لهم، ولا ليدلهم على طريق من طرق الهداية، التي ينجون بها من سوء العاقبة.
