The Holy Quran 4:108 — Surah An-Nisa

Arabic text

يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمْ إِذْ يُبَيِّتُونَ مَا لَا يَرْضَىٰ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطًا

Translation

They (the wrongdoers) try to hide from people (because they feel ashamed) but they cannot hide from Allaah Who is with them when they pass the night (deliberately) indulging in talks that Allaah dislikes. Allaah surrounds (is Aware of) what they do.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

يستترون من الناس خوفًا من اطلاعهم على أعمالهم السيئة، ولا يستترون من الله تعالى ولا يستحيون منه، وهو عزَّ شأنه معهم بعلمه، مطلع عليهم حين يدبِّرون -ليلا- ما لا يرضى من القول، وكان الله -تعالى- محيطًا بجميع أقوالهم وأفعالهم، لا يخفى عليه منها شيء.
