The Holy Quran 47:26 — Surah Muhammad

Arabic text

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا۟ مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِى بَعْضِ ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ

Translation

This (turning away from the truth after it was made clear to them) is because they (the Munaafiqeen) say to those who detest Allaah's revelation (because of jealousy, referring to the Jews), "We shall follow you in some matters (in opposing Rasulullaah ﷺ)." Allaah has knowledge of their secret talks (between the Jews and hypocrites and will punish them for it).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ذلك الإمداد لهم حتى يتمادوا في الكفر ; بسبب أنهم قالوا لليهود الذين كرهوا ما نزل الله: سنطيعكم في بعض الأمر الذي هو خلاف لأمر الله وأمر رسوله، والله تعالى يعلم ما يخفيه هؤلاء ويسرونه، فليحذر المسلم من طاعة غير الله فيما يخالف أمر الله سبحانه، وأمر رسوله محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم.
