The Holy Quran 47:14 — Surah Muhammad

Arabic text

أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُۥ سُوٓءُ عَمَلِهِۦ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُم

Translation

Can the one who is steadfast on a proof (clear way) from his Rabb (because of which he has firm faith in Towheed) be like those whose evil actions have been beautified for them and who follow their whims? (The two cannot be the same because the first is destined for Jannah while the latter is heading for Jahannam.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أفمن كان على برهان واضح من ربه والعلم بوحدانيته، كمن حسَّن له الشيطان قبيح عمله، واتبع ما دعته إليه نفسه من معصية الله وعبادة غيره مِن غير حجة ولا برهان؟ لا يستوون.
