The Holy Quran 45:19 — Surah Al-Jathiyah

Arabic text

إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُوا۟ عَنكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Translation

Undoubtedly, (if you follow them and thereby incur Allaah's punishment,) these people (the Kuffaar) will never be of any use to you against (the punishment of) Allaah. Verily the oppressors (the Kuffaar) are patrons (helpers) of each other and Allaah is a Protecting Friend to the people with Taqwa.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن هؤلاء المشركين بربهم الذين يدعونك إلى اتباع أهوائهم لن يغنوا عنك -أيها الرسول- من عقاب الله شيئًا إن اتبعت أهواءهم، وإن الظالمين المتجاوزين حدود الله من المنافقين واليهود وغيرهم بعضهم أنصار بعض على المؤمنين بالله وأهل طاعته، والله ناصر المتقين ربَّهم بأداء فرائضه واجتناب نواهيه.
