The Holy Quran 44:29 — Surah Ad-Dukhan

Arabic text

فَمَا بَكَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنظَرِينَ

Translation

Neither the sky nor the earth wept for them (for the people of Fir'oun when they were destroyed), and (when the time for their destruction arrived,) they were denied reprieve (respite because it was too late).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فما بكت السماء والأرض حزنًا على فرعون وقومه، وما كانوا مؤخَّرين عن العقوبة التي حلَّت بهم.
