The Holy Quran 43:36 — Surah Az-Zukhruf

Arabic text

وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُۥ شَيْطَـٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهُۥ قَرِينٌ

Translation

We shall appoint a Shaytaan to (take charge of) every person who turns a blind eye to Rahmaan's advice (the Qur'aan and teachings of Rasulullaah ﷺ), who will be his (constant) companion (to always mislead him).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ومن يُعْرِض عن ذكر الرحمن، وهو القرآن، فلم يَخَفْ عقابه، ولم يهتد بهدايته، نجعل له شيطانًا في الدنيا يغويه; جزاء له على إعراضه عن ذكر الله، فهو له ملازم ومصاحب يمنعه الحلال، ويبعثه على الحرام.
