The Holy Quran 42:50 — Surah Ash-Shuraa

Arabic text

أَوْ يُزَوِّجُهُمْ ذُكْرَانًا وَإِنَـٰثًا ۖ وَيَجْعَلُ مَن يَشَآءُ عَقِيمًا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌ قَدِيرٌ

Translation

...or He pairs them as male and female (offspring to those parents whom He wills). Allaah also makes whomsoever He wills barren (so that they do not have any children). Indeed, He is the All Knowing (knows who deserves what), All Powerful (He does as He pleases).
