The Holy Quran 42:41 — Surah Ash-Shuraa

Arabic text

وَلَمَنِ ٱنتَصَرَ بَعْدَ ظُلْمِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ مَا عَلَيْهِم مِّن سَبِيلٍ

Translation

(Although forgiving the aggressor is best,) There will be no blame (wrong) on the one who takes revenge (in proportion to the aggression against him) after he has been wronged (because he may exercise his right to retaliate).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولمن انتصر ممن ظلمه من بعد ظلمه له فأولئك ما عليهم من مؤاخذة.
