The Holy Quran 42:31 — Surah Ash-Shuraa

Arabic text

وَمَآ أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ

Translation

(Remember that if Allaah ever wishes to punish you for your sins,) You cannot escape on earth, and you have no Protecting Friend, nor any Helper besides Allaah. (Therefore, seek forgiveness for your sins and abstain from committing more sins.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وما أنتم -أيها الناس- بمعجزين قدرة الله عليكم، ولا فائتيه، وما لكم من دون الله مِن وليٍّ يتولى أموركم، فيوصل لكم المنافع، ولا نصير يدفع عنكم المضارَّ.
