The Holy Quran 41:25 — Surah Fussilat

Arabic text

۞ وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَيَّنُوا۟ لَهُم مَّا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ فِىٓ أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ خَـٰسِرِينَ

Translation

We have appointed companions (Shayaateen) for them (the Kuffaar), who (are with them all the time and who) beautify for them their present and past (evil actions so that they continue sinning). The decision (to be punished) shall be passed against them, together with all the (Kuffaar) groups of man and Jinn that have passed before them. Verily, they are all losers.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وهيأنا لهؤلاء الظالمين الجاحدين قرناء فاسدين من شياطين الإنس والجن، فزينوا لهم قبائح أعمالهم في الدنيا، ودعَوهم إلى لذاتها وشهواتها المحرمة، وزَيَّنوا لهم ما خَلْفهم من أمور الآخرة، فأنسوهم ذِكرها، ودعَوهم إلى التكذيب بالمعاد، وبذلك استحقوا دخول النار في جملة أمم سابقة من كفرة الجن والإنس، إنهم كانوا خاسرين أعمالهم في الدنيا وأنفسهم وأهليهم يوم القيامة.
