The Holy Quran 41:24 — Surah Fussilat

Arabic text

فَإِن يَصْبِرُوا۟ فَٱلنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟ فَمَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ

Translation

Even if they exercise patience, (it will be useless to them because) the Fire shall (still) be their abode (final destination). And (their position will be so unpromising that even) if they try to please Allaah (using whatever means they have), they will never be allowed to do so.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فإن يصبروا على العذاب فالنار مأواهم، وإن يسألوا الرجوع إلى الدنيا؛ ليستأنفوا العمل الصالح لا يُجابوا إلى ذلك، ولا تُقبل لهم أعذار.
