The Holy Quran 40:61 — Surah Ghafir

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ

Translation

It is Allaah Who has made the night for you to rest, and has made the day for you to see (so that you fulfil your tasks). Without doubt, Allaah is Full of Grace (always giving) towards mankind, but most people are ungrateful (and fail to worship Him when it is He Who gives them all they have).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

الله وحده هو الذي جعل لكم الليل؛ لتسكنوا فيه، وتحققوا راحتكم، والنهار مضيئًا؛ لتُصَرِّفوا فيه أمور معاشكم. إن الله لذو فضل عظيم على الناس، ولكن أكثرهم لا يشكرون له بالطاعة وإخلاص العبادة.
