The Holy Quran 40:60 — Surah Ghafir

Arabic text

وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِى سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ

Translation

Your Rabb says, "Supplicate (make du'aa) to Me, I shall respond (in a manner that is most beneficial for you). Verily, those who are too proud to worship Me shall soon enter Jahannam in (great) humiliation."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وقال ربكم -أيها العباد-: ادعوني وحدي وخصُّوني بالعبادة أستجب لكم، إن الذين يتكبرون عن إفرادي بالعبودية والألوهية، سيدخلون جهنم صاغرين حقيرين.
