The Holy Quran 3:162 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

أَفَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَنۢ بَآءَ بِسَخَطٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَأْوَىٰهُ جَهَنَّمُ ۚ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

Translation

Can the one (the Nabi) who follows (pursues) the pleasure of Allaah be like he who returns with (who deserves) Allaah's anger (because of his sins) and whose abode shall be Jahannam? It (Jahannam) is indeed the worst of abodes!

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

لا يستوي من كان قصده رضوان الله ومن هو مُكِبٌ على المعاصي، مسخط لربه، فاستحق بذلك سكن جهنم، وبئس المصير.
