The Holy Quran 3:124 — Surah Ali 'Imran

Arabic text

إِذْ تَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَلَن يَكْفِيَكُمْ أَن يُمِدَّكُمْ رَبُّكُم بِثَلَـٰثَةِ ءَالَـٰفٍ مِّنَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ مُنزَلِينَ

Translation

(O Muhammad ﷺ, remember also the time) When you told the Mu'mineen, “Is it not sufficient for you that your Rabb reinforces (aids) you with three thousand angels, (specially) dispatched (descending from the heavens to assist you against the enemy)?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

اذكر -أيها النبي- ما كان من أمر أصحابك في «بدر» حين شقَّ عليهم أن يأتي مَدَد للمشركين، فأوحينا إليك أن تقول لهم: ألن تكفيكم معونة ربكم بأن يمدكم بثلاثة آلاف من الملائكة مُنْزَلين من السماء إلى أرض المعركة، يثبتونكم، ويقاتلون معكم؟
