The Holy Quran 39:57 — Surah Az-Zumar

Arabic text

أَوْ تَقُولَ لَوْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هَدَىٰنِى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

Translation

Or (turn to Allaah and accept Islaam to avoid the situation after death when) it (a soul) says, "If only Allaah had guided me, I would have certainly been from among those with Taqwa (the Mu'mineen)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أو تقول: لو أن الله أرشدني إلى دينه لكنت من المتقين الشرك والمعاصي.
