The Holy Quran 38:41 — Surah Sad

Arabic text

وَٱذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَآ أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَسَّنِىَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ

Translation

Remember Our slave (servant) Ayyoob عليه الصلاة والسلام. (It is well worth mentioning that) When (he was suffering from a severe disease after losing all his wealth and children) he called his Rabb saying, "Verily Shaytaan has afflicted me with pain and difficulty (by continuously trying to cast evil thoughts in my mind and by trying to mislead my wife as will be mentioned in verse 44 ahead)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واذكر -أيها الرسول- عبدنا أيوب، حين دعا ربه أن الشيطان تسبب لي بتعب ومشقة، وألم في جسدي ومالي وأهلي.
