فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ

Translation

(Once, when the people of Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام prepared to leave town for a celebration, they asked him to accompany them. In reply) He glanced once at the stars (as they normally did)...

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فنظر إبراهيم نظرة في النجوم -على عادة قومه في ذلك- متفكرًا فيما يعتذر به عن الخروج معهم إلى أعيادهم، فقال لهم: إني مريض. وهذا تعريض منه. فتركوه وراء ظهورهم.
