The Holy Quran 37:35 — Surah As-Saffat

Arabic text

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

Translation

They were the ones who were (too) proud (to accept) when they were told, "There is none worthy of worship but Allaah."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن أولئك المشركين كانوا في الدنيا إذا قيل لهم: لا إله إلا الله، ودعوا إليها، وأُمروا بترك ما ينافيها، يستكبرون عنها وعلى من جاء بها.
