The Holy Quran 37:28 — Surah As-Saffat

Arabic text

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ

Translation

They (the followers) will say (to their leaders), "You people used to come to us with great might (from the right side to persuade us to commit kufr)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال الأتباع للمتبوعين: إنكم كنتم تأتوننا من قِبَل الدين والحق، فتهوِّنون علينا أمر الشريعة، وتُنَفِّروننا عنها، وتزينون لنا الضلال. وقال المتبوعون للتابعين: ما الأمر كما تزعمون، بل كانت قلوبكم منكرة للإيمان، قابلة للكفر والعصيان.
