The Holy Quran 36:78 — Surah Ya-Sin

Arabic text

وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌ

Translation

(When contesting with Us) He quotes examples for Us (disregarding Our status) and forgets himself (forgets that he was once a lowly drop of fluid). He says, "Who will give life to (revive the) bones after they have decomposed (decayed)?"

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وضرب لنا المنكر للبعث مثلا لا ينبغي ضربه، وهو قياس قدرة الخالق بقدرة المخلوق، ونسي ابتداء خلقه، قال: مَن يحيي العظام البالية المتفتتة؟
