The Holy Quran 36:60 — Surah Ya-Sin

Arabic text

۞ أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَـٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ

Translation

(Allaah will remind people saying,) "O children of Aadam! Did I not emphasise to you that you should not worship (follow the dictates of) Shaytaan (who encouraged you to worship gods besides Allaah)? He is certainly your open enemy (and will always want to mislead you)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ويقول الله لهم توبيخًا وتذكيرًا: ألم أوصكم على ألسنة رسلي أن لا تعبدوا الشيطان ولا تطيعوه؟ إنه لكم عدو ظاهر العداوة.
